The following Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs for host communities impacted by the Enugu Free Trade zone have been adopted

Vocational Training & Skills development Program

Vocational training for local staff in different fields of expertise required for the sustainable operations of free zone facilities and utility

Women Empowerment Program (WEP)

Creation of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) of rural women to incorporate income generating activities and skills.

Health

Health camps with free general check-ups, dental check-ups, eye care and awareness programs within the impacted communities related to health education.
Infrastructure – Support provided to develop local community roads, hospitals and schools to international standard The free trade zone management shall also work with the communities, local government and state government to provide sustainable water supply to each of the local communities.

Green Belt Development

Enpower FTZ has adopted a green belt development program in and around the free trade zone The water from treated effluents will be utilized to the maximum possible extent to support the increase of productivity and income of local farmers. Indigenous species will be planted to ensure healthy and sustained fauna growth. Plant nurseries will be developed to provide long-term environmental protection against aridity and desertification.
